Hi Learners and learner helpers!
I am excited to help you achieve your goals!
When we first meet, we will spend some time getting to know each other to get comfortable sharing our amazing ideas in future lessons. Finding out about your interests, whether Minecraft, martians or mermaids, also helps me to build lessons you will love and drive you towards your goals!
Next, we will walk through some of your strengths and areas you would like to grow in order to set goals for our sessions. This will help me to develop a plan for our future sessions so we can make the most out of our time together and celebrate every step towards your goals.
After a wee chat about your week, I like starting lessons with fun problem-solving to get our brains warmed up and give us a chance to chat, take risks and laugh.
Then, I share how that connects to our learning objective or goal for the lesson before I introduce the topic with a mini lesson and show you how it's done until you are comfortable giving it a go on your own with guidance and feedback. We wrap up our time together with a mini challenge to make sure you feel more confident using the new skills after our session. Finally, we celebrate our success with a fun game!
