English is a complex language with as many exceptions to the rules as there are rules themselves. But learning English need not be a task to be scared of. As with any new skill, it takes practice, a lot of practice, and sometimes it feels like a lot of repetition, but it should always include an element of fun. Learning English should be rewarding and every lesson should feel like something has been achieved, sometimes it may be small, a few new words, a new sentence, sometimes we will make great steps and understanding of difficult grammar will suddenly be easy.
I come from a background of publishing and journalism that allowed me to use my love of English. This love then I felt had to be shared, so I got an Advanced Level 5 TEFL diploma that I could teach others this wonderful language. I was rather nervous when I began my first lesson. That was a long time ago. I discovered that not only could I teach, I was actually rather good at it.
So began my journey of helping people of all ages, levels and backgrounds in learning English. I very much hope that I may be able to help you on your adventure to learn this new language.
