My approach may be slightly different to others. I firmly believe that students shouldn't have to depend on spending lots of money to achieve their full potential. I want to support you in ways that you will not need to pay excessive amounts of money for regular sessions. My approach may be slightly different to others. I firmly believe that students shouldn't have to depend on spending lots of money to achieve their full potential. I want to support you in ways that you will not need to pay excessive amounts of money for regular sessions. However, if you feel like the routine of regular sessions works best for you, that is absolutely fine!
I want students to feel prepared and stress-free. For GCSE and A-level students I will begin with helping you to develop a study plan adapted to your needs and availability. In further sessions, we will follow the plan we created together. I am confident that I can cater to the needs of those with autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. I have a year of clinical experience supporting those with eating disorders and co-morbid diagnoses. During this period, I planned key worker sessions with service users, developed positive behaviour support plans, and played a part in integrating service users back into the community following cyclic hospital admissions. Due to this, I received awareness training for a variety of disorders, and in-depth mental health first aid training.
In our sessions, we will delve into the specifications of your exam board and past paper questions to prepare you for the psychology exam to get the grade you want to achieve. We will use creative and person-centred methods to practice course knowledge (including but not limited to PPTs, games, rapid-fire quizzes, cue cards, essay planning, and marking example answers). I will also help you understand how to read psychology research papers to effectively get the information you need without spending lots of time reading page after page.
Learning psychology can help develop your interpersonal skills which will benefit you after you leave your place of education. I am confident I can help you apply what you learn to real-world scenarios. This will enhance your career prospects and enable you to understand the people you will interact with daily.
I studied psychology at GCSE (AQA) achieving a B, at A-level (WJEC) achieving a C, and at Bournemouth University (BSc). At University, I had the opportunity to be a peer-assisted learning leader which allowed me to deliver sessions to first-year students to facilitate learning, providing me with experience leading a classroom setting. My journey has been an insightful one, with many emotional hurdles and I have gained a large amount of subject knowledge. Psychology is my passion and you can anticipate a lot of enthusiasm for the topics in our sessions. My end goal is to work as an education mental health practitioner. However, I am currently trying to build my education experience so I would love the opportunity to be given a chance to tutor you :)
