Start by identifying the needs of the student at the time.
Concentrate on giving help of the areas that they actually need help in.
If they are happy, give them a couple of questions for homework that we'll check together next lesson.
Do a little stater.
Work together on a couple with the student.
When they are confident, give them tasks to carry out.
Answer any questions the student may encounter as they work through the tasks.
Mark the work to determine if student understood.
Set and agree on few questions to do as homework.
