My lessons will include taking the student through a past paper; I will then be able to recognise weaknesses and address them by explaining that particular topic area. This could be done by taking the student through a video or textbook sheets. I am passionate about teaching Mathematics because it is my favourite subject, and since some students tend to struggle with it, I would like to make the learning process more enjoyable. My competence in doing this is demonstrated through my success in A-level Mathematics with a 246/300 overall A grade. I also aim to make my lessons as comfortable and easy as possible for the students. There will be no judgment from my side when topics are not understood because I understand the struggle as a current student. I have also been able to strengthen my communication skills through my recent experience at a Pan Africa school debate. I was able to work smoothly in a team environment, and I can translate the skills of hard work and consistency that I was able to gain there. My position as the 2nd best graduating student in high school also shows my commitment to academic excellence. I believe that a personalized approach is key to success in Mathematics, and I strive to cater to each student's individual learning style. My goal is to not only help students improve their grades but also build their confidence and problem-solving abilities. I also encourage a growth mindset, which I believe is essential for academic success and fulfilment.
