My lessons are student-focused and can be easily tailored and adapted to individual needs. You'll learn through relatable activities, and you'll also be shown key techniques to help you answer the trickier exam questions more effectively.

I'm always open to feedback from my students; if something doesn't help you learn as effectively as you like, we can always try something else. I like to take an egalitarian approach with my lessons - there's no need to call me "sir" like we're in secondary school!

For GCSE and A-Level students, I'm familiar with each of the exam boards. Just tell me which specification you're using, and I'll tailor our sessions to best fit their criteria, while still keeping it engaging for you.

For those in higher education, areas I have studied extensively include the following:
- English structure and grammar
- Phonetics and phonology
- The history and development of English
- English in comparison to other languages
- Teaching English as a foreign language
While I am most familiar with these areas, I would be happy to help you with any part of your undergrad that you're struggiling with - I remember mine all too well!

In addition, if you need any help with your general essay writing and structure, I have 5+ years of academic writing experience, so I'll be able to help you build your essays so that you reach the highest grade boundaries possible. I'm also more than happy to proofread!
