Hi! I'm an 18 year old nottingham based musician. Im a self taught guitarist whos been playing for about 5 years now. I've got my level 3 BTEC on music performance and songwriting, because jm self taught i haven't done a guitar grade but im confident in my abilities.
Ive had troubles with a guitar teacher before, so I'd know what a student is looking for. Im looking to tailor lessons towards what you'd want to play, I like reimagining songs and I think I really good way to learn as a beginner is to find a way to play the songs you like. For more intermediate players I'd love to delve into theory a little bit, teaching about chords in a key, scales, modes, however I always struggled with they terminology used in college, and i pride myself on being able to explain music theory in a very simple way. I have a lot of little tricks to find notes on the fretboard, notes in a scale, chords in a key and other theory subjects which I like explaining and would love to pass on to some new students. To teach more advanced players I'd feel like utd be a case of learning as I teach but I am confident I could teach anyone something. I'd focus on giving challenging, fun lessons centred on what you want to play, and the best way for you to play it, as I believe the best way to learn is to play, and you can't play without having fun
