When I started tutoring it was just my siblings well I tutored them on science and mathematics their both in class 7 & 9, before I started tutoring them in mathematics I normally emphasize on the basics, the rules of mathematics and they will be like "ooh wait let me solve it I know how to solve it". Well I always told them that mathematics isn't the worse subject if you know the basic, the rules, and the formula. Well as for the format I use in tutoring I teach based on real life activities comparing some of my maths questions to what I do daily like how some people know when the traffic light is about to turn green, when I go grocery shopping, how much time it will take me to go to my relatives house and also how much to expect for bills every month or even year, comparing mathematics to real life makes it more easier to understand. We will learn mostly about why some basic mathematics might seem complicated and common error made in math, some common math rules, variables , and the rest would be based on your class curriculum, and the parts or what makes mathematics hard for you. But also mainly solving problems/ questions applying it is the best and fun way you can learn mathematics, Well if there is anything you want to learn or do that you think will make math more easier for you, you can let me know. Best regards Owen.
