A quick insight of my experience-
I worked with a tuition based in Harrow for a period of roughly 4months with a range of kids ages from reception to GSCE.I taught mainly maths but also science in some occasions.

I usually breakdown my lessons into section.I firstly have a quick conversation with the student and make sure I make him feel welcome and remove any type of shyness which may cause him to ask questions and progress in his learning.

We then pick a topic he is struggling with ir currently doing in school and doesn’t understand.I will then give him a quick brief and make sure he thoroughly understood the topic and will do some practise together.

I will then progress and give him a little topic assessments towards the end of the lesson.By then the student will not only have notes and a breakdown of the whole topic but would have done practise questions and a small topic assessment.

Once marked, we quickly analyse the questions the student were not able to answer if any, and I will give him feedback as well as break down the questions he couldn’t do.Then, depending on how confident the student is we either move on to the next topic or go into more depth with the same topic.

I also aim for the student to have experience an enjoyable atmosphere and make the lessons as interactive as possible.
