I like to be creative and dynamic when I teach. What this means is that for students who want to learn various topics, I will make PowerPoints, but also make use of what I term "creating the scenario". When students need to understand new topics, they take on information much better when they learn historical scenarios through scenario building. This is how I was taught for a long time, and when charismatic teachers really engaged the class and allowed us to think of our own ideas or scenarios, that is how we got closer to the answer and how information stuck with us. This is precisely how I intend to teach, a very active environment where students should be encouraged for giving answers, that way we get closer to what needs to be learnt. Simply forcing people to read from a book then recite the information will not build the passion for history and the specific details you need to know.

I hope to teach in the way that I was taught. Fun, informative, and engaging learning is the way to go! I am also very patient, so if answers don't come straight away, then taking the time to build those connections to important details is very important.

I can work with any topic, and especially when it comes to essay-writing, I can help get those grades up to excellent A-Level standards, and even university level answers! I will aim to make my lessons enjoyable and interactive rather than a very frustrating one-sided learning experience.
