Current undergraduate at the University of Cambridge studying BA History and Politics delivering personalised private tutoring sessions. Having achieved a grade 9 at History GCSE, A* at History A-Level (including 100% in coursework), and a high First this year that placed me in the top 5% of my cohort for the papers I undertook I am confident that I have the necessary historical skillset and knowledge to deliver high-quality lessons.
With experience tutoring and a history of delivery in raising grade attainment for secondary school students, I look particularly at the assets and weaknesses of each student in order to develop a personalised learning plan. Often, this takes on the form of exam skill practice (which often stands as the greatest barrier to students gaining the grades that they deserve), alongside a deepening of historical knowledge and targetted content retrieval.
I am also happy to offer sessions on applying to university for History or Politics degrees, being able to provide help on personal statements or interview technique for Oxbridge applications.
