My lessons are designed to resolve specific challenges of students depending on the topic and the specific concepts. With about twenty four years of delivering IGCSE curriculum with excellent results of my students as evidence, I believe that I can assist my prospective students here to overcome their challenges in mathematics through the use of interactive and engaging lessons. Practical applications of concepts and practical illustration would be used to enhance learning. In addition to the information provided by the students, a baseline test may be conducted as a formative assessment to identify the areas of need of each student.
I have the privilege of facilitating lessons for students from year 7 to year 11 every year. Therefore, I can deliver excellent lessons to students across all age grades in secondary school.
I use various teaching methodologies such as questioning for enquiry, use of videos, audio, worksheets, quizzes, personalised activities, explanation and practical illustrations to facilitate students learning. I am a result oriented teacher who is always working towards achieving excellent results with my students.
All the 19 students I tutored for May/June IGCSE last session recorded grades from A* to C . That is 100 percent pass grades.
I had prepared students for IGCSE additional mathematics in the past as well, this has also helped me in making mathematics lesson delivery more easy for me.
To cap it, I teach in an inclusive school where students have various learning needs and no child is left out in the class through the use of cooperative learning, differentiated learning and pair tutoring.
