I belive pictorial or projectiled materials are best suited to teach biology topics ,the colourful pictorial representation makes it catchy for students to grab and understand in case there is no access to internet or projector available modern biology text books are suited ,using student as light example are also using example student to represent each social status of bee female student A as queen few female student like B to F as worker Few male student as male bee and so on to make the class more interesting and lively,i can also draw pictures on market board to explain for example mitosis amd meiosis in simpler ways
