I am a Mathnasium tutor, I do have PGC certificate in Liverpool John Moores university.
I use a fantastic system to assess, teach and track the students progress and learning plan.
The Mathnasium methods of teaching are very effective and it really works, I do have students who got only 29% in the pre assessment and then gained 98% on their post assessment after completing the learning plan.
The learning plan usually takes 3 to 4 months to complete and it may take longer depending on how many lessons a week we can do and on the students knowledge of Maths , It also depends on their skills and gaps of knowledge. The system I use only teaches the topics that the kids didn't get right on the pre assessment.
What also I can do is only teaches the topics that the students bring in if they don't want to do an assessment.
