I love getting very interactive in tutoring sessions rather than attempting to teach a student with words. For that matter, I use a drawing/writing application via a drawing tablet and pen, in which I will be able to demonstrate live to the student how I would like to explain to them. Moreover, I like to break down the mathematical concepts in more practical manners, such as referring to real-life examples and focusing on the main core of the subject. Most importantly, I know how tricky mathematics can be, and as a student myself, I know the struggle of facing examinations with questions under different circumstances. Hence, I like to make sure the student is fully competent in all possible situations they could be faced with in every subject I would teach. I usually provide problem-solving question sheets that I have reviewed myself and ask the student to solve them on their own time at the end of the session with a reference picture of their solving methods, so I can assess their means of thinking and approach to ascertain their level of understanding and proficiency. Finally, I think it is very important to get to know students on more than just a surface level, and I try to connect with them on what they are passionate about to try and incorporate that into the sessions. I also believe it makes the student more comfortable with my presence; therefore, the student will not feel shy or afraid to reach out to me on any further obstacles they face.
