As your tutor, you will firstly learn the foundations of every subject and sub-topic, which will include the uses and applications of these topics in real life. Throughout my tenure as a Tutor I have found that students love to question why certain topics are important or why we even learn that at all. Through experience I understand that explaining why some topics are meaningful to certain jobs in life inspires and motivates students even more because now they actually feel that there's a point to they work that do. Essentially, I strive to give meaning to the work that my students will be doing as this will increase their attentiveness to the subject and make their learning much more fruitful. Additionally, as I have recently done my GCSE's I also know the "in's and out's" to each and every exam, especially in maths and triple science. My students will be equipped with not just the knowledge needed for the exams, but also additional techniques to make sure they complete their exams in the best way they can. As for the success of some of my students, I am expecting my year 8 students to have finished their maths GCSE curriculum by y9 and their triple science curriculum by y10.In my lessons, we finish everything extremely efficiently because I nail the essence and big ideas into my students; they don't just copy off a powerpoint but are made to understand the topic to a standard which for them will be extremely helpful, because when they understand and comprehend it and are able to explain in their own words, that is when you can truly be reassured that they know their stuff. Overall, I aim to first motivate my students, then one they're engaged I make sure they fully comprehend each topic which then finally ends with a series of worksheets/questions to enhance their exam technique.
