Introduction

I decided to change my focus from delivering information technology services, where I have accumulated years of experience in software engineering, to a more targeted area of need in education because of the unanticipated surge and tremendously high demand in the field of teaching. I think there has never been a greater time to act than now.

My Experience

I have more than two decades of expertise as an IT analyst in software engineering. At SystemSpecs Nigeria, I spent 12 years working in a variety of leadership roles, from System Executive to Principal Manager, Information System Implementation. I effectively deployed HRIS (Human Resource Information System) solutions to many organisations in Nigeria's key economic sectors. My interest in teaching really took off when I began educating clients as end users on freshly deployed systems, which is a crucial element of the product deployment technique.

Additionally, I established a name for myself in the IT sector by designing a computer-based learning assessment system called meritCbt, using MS-Visio for the data mode (logical and physical), MySQL for the database design, HTML/CSS and JavaScript for the client-side, and PHP for the backend implementation.

Further, I engaged in a rigorous self-learning effort to get prepared for the future and satisfy my curiosity about cutting-edge technology in the science of data and its applications. I recently received badges for IBM Data Fundamentals, Big Data Foundation and Hadoop Foundation. I have also developed solid programming skills with regard to Python libraries for data science. I have successfully written Python (ver. 3.11) codes for data purification, analysis, and visualisation, aid of the "Panda" and "Matplotlib" libraries. I also earned a MongoDB for SQL certificate to expand my knowledge of using JSON for unstructured datasets.

After earning my graduate diploma degree from the college, I worked as a data analyst for the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Nigeria for a year as an intern. At the time, I was involved in the collection, cleaning, and preparation of experimental data for the cross-breeding of cowpea crops using Excel, GENSTAT, and MSTAT software. I was given commendation for developing a database system for cowpea crop pedigree.
