My teaching style is very much dependent on the student! Every one learns different and the first (free lesson) will be going over what suits you best and starting to cover the areas you want. Once this has been established I will develop carefully planned lessons tailored to you.
My preferred method is taking from how I learn best which is generating discussion- for sociology discussion is crucial so I like to get people talking about the ideas in practice and getting the student’s opinion. This way they can develop an enriched and deep understanding of the topics and achieve whatever they are aiming to achieve. Therefore I will try to encourage this as much as possible- but if you would prefer to have a more structured, note taking approach, I can accommodate that as well!
The lessons will be online and the first lesson is free as I understand the importance of getting to know someone before committing to paying for them as a tutor. Building trust and respect is crucial to ensure the best results are achieved.
Having just graduated university with a first class degree, I am excited to share my passion of sociology and (hopefully) inspire you to whatever your goals are! During my time at university, I have done a work placement where I helped students with their school work and in uni itself I was a Peer Mentor which involved helping new students with any issues they had. I would love to carry on providing support for students and that’s why I’m here!
