Olivia Williams-Morris

I would describe myself as positive, friendly and extremely hardworking. My passion for teaching means I immerse myself into my role thoroughly. I teach with a plan whilst making alterations in response to individuals needs and abilities. I always listen to my pupils ensuring they feel heard and never judged. I can liaise in various ways to suit learning styles, this way progression and understanding will grow. I ensure I am engaging so that people enjoy learning and see it in a positive light. I feel this is imperative for active learning, teaching my pupils to love learning I have found is crucial for faster development. I also love my job role so I want my pupils to enjoy it too. I use visual learning vices alongside my teachings to help connections form. I also use positive feedback alongside any critiques to help improve confidence in pupils whilst also helping them to improve.
I have experience teaching English in Italy and Malaysia. I taught English in Fano, Italy after being reccomended to an Italian family by their friends in Britain after I had been looking after their children. I lived with an Italian family for a month in Fano teaching their children and family English, some had never spoken English before. Seeing my impact on their English skills was so incredibly rewarding, something I will remember forever.
I worked with The Reading Bus in Malaysia teaching children to read and speak English, some of these children had never read a book before. This was such a precious experience and one I will hold in my heart forever.
