Olivia Taylor

My name is Olivia and I am a fully-qualified teacher from London. During my time as a teacher I have taught history, English, politics, RE and citizenship. I have also taken on additional roles such as a Head of Year and Head of Department. I have plenty of experience in making lessons which adhere to the English national curriculum and those which are skill-centred to allow students to perfect essay writing, grammar and analysis.

I have been featured on the BBC television series "We are Black and British" for oustanding history teaching, been specially selected for a University College London project on excellence in anti-racist teaching and published by the University of Essex for research into the importance of representation in our curriculum. This shows my dedication to teaching, my subject and my students.

As a teacher and tutor I believe in putting the individual at the heart of the learning. I will create a series of lessons which will allow you to achieve your learning goals. This series of lessons will be unique to you.

I thrive working with students to help them identify their strengths, learning gaps and adopt appropriate strategies to help them improve. This effective communication helps to create a happy and challenging atmosphere in which students can be pushed to their full potential. I cultivate a
learning environment founded on aspiration and mutual respect.

I am a natural communicator, extremely organised, efficient and progress-orientated. My priority is that students feel supported and make consistently excellent progress.
