I like to work out a study plan that builds alongside your own studies. Usually I like to work through chapters together talking through each one and identifying areas of concern or resources you may need. I have give shorter notes for long wordy topics, and can customize them for student learning styles. I am a strong believer in past papers/practice papers but know students tend to do this at school/university, so like to ask students which ones they have done and go through them all before the exam. I also write questions which could come up tailored to students areas of concern, and like to do exam technique sessions throughout tutoring.

When supporting university applications I like to do an initial consultation, work through statements and projects collectively, and always finish with a thorough review. I also will be available for questions and other general support throughout this process. Once students enter university I find they have an established learning style and clearer assignments/exam types- I still like to create a study plan/module plan but know it needs to be much more flexible.

Overall I really care about students, having both tutored and mentored a range of them, I will always go above and beyond to help students achieve success no matter what success is to them. I am systematic, like a clear plan, but know plans must be realistic for busy students.
