I often like to take a tutoring style similar to that of a school lesson however can alter the method of teaching depending on the student. I like to form little quizzes and set homework in order for the student to actively recall information that was taught to them during my session. The lessons will be 1 hour long but can do a longer or shorter time period depending on what you prefer. I use information directly from the specification and make it simpler and in short note form to make it easier to remember. As well as that, I have recommendations which will provide your child with better revision techniques which I wish I learnt earlier on. I can also support them through any struggles through GCSE's in order to reach their full potential and excel in their final exams. During the lesson I often like the ask the student questions through to ensure they are paying attention and to ensure they understand what I am saying. I also believe that asking questions helps children remember the content more effectively. finally, I recommend the student take notes using either a notepad and pen or an iPad depending what they have available as this provides themselves with good resources to look back on when revising. My tutoring session along side revision and good sleep will provide your child with the best opportunity to succeed in such an important part of their lives.
