ABOUT MY LESSON
I am a 17 year old grade 9 / A* student in Maths currently taking Maths A-Level. I will help you gain a better understanding of mathematics and exam technique altogether, acknowledging how it can be difficult and confusing. As maths is a very repetitive subject and easy to practice, I will help you excel and improve with patient teaching, utilising my understanding of the subject to help enhance yours. My lessons will average 1-2 hours, however if the student would prefer longer sessions that can easily be arranged. I believe myself to be incredibly patient and understanding of any struggles you may face, ensuring you completely understand the topic at hand before moving on or increasing in difficulty. I have no issue beginning with basics and slowly moving onwards, though I will enable your learning to be swift so you can improve quickly. I will help teach the subject, aswell as provide helpful exam tips, tricks, and revision plans to become an effective student.
ABOUT ME
I am currently studying Maths, Chemistry, Law, and Ancient History. Having departed from high school with 9’s in all my subjects, achieving the best results in my school as a whole, my knowledge of maths is secure and strong. There’s many aspects of the subject which are commonly found difficult to understand and comprehend, but I am sure I can help enable your understanding via my own experience. I resulted with 92% on my GCSE exams, scoring 220/240.
Furthermore, I also view myself as a very independent, conscientious, hard working student who is able to correctly prioritise their workload and understand how to structure revision and revision plans. Additionally, I also understand the effects and control of procrastination, and will be able to help provide tips on how to overcome the unfortunate habit.
Part of my decision to tutor is my need of income. As I become a fully independent adult, I will need savings and income to depend on, and finding a regular 8 hour per day unenjoyable job whilst studying 4 A-levels feels impossible. It is only logical to choose to pursue an occupation I’m not only skilled in, but am also passionate of. I found a passion for Mathematics in the middle of year 9 when I began to understand the topic clearly, this love for the subject only growing stronger since. Because of this, I would like to help others who may be struggling and encourage them into being the best mathematician and best student they can be.
