I have been working in my area as a tutor for a variety fo subjects including biology and maths. I have experience teaching students from 12-19 years of age at a variety of skill levels. My degree in Genetics lends well to my ability and teaching style, with student-led and engaging classes to not merely memorise the content, but understand the concepts on a deeper level allowing application to different problems. Problem-based learning with real-life scenarios to ground the abstract in reality in my opinion enriches and enhances learning, and I strive for this for all of my students. Content covered can vary depending on the needs and abilities of the students, but i am very experienced in biology, maths, chemistry, physics, and applied maths. I can also provide study and revision aids in a format which can suit the learning style of the student in question. Empowering a student to take control of their own education is my focus.
