About me
I find it deeply satisfying to lead a student to a genuine understanding of some mathematical concept. From 10+ years of tutoring, I have built up a great collection of lesson plans that I know are effective at this - but no two students are the same, and I pride myself on my ability to be flexible to your needs.

I find it deeply satisfying to lead a student to a genuine understanding of some mathematical concept. From 10+ years of tutoring, I have built up a great collection of lesson plans that I know are effective at this - but no two students are the same, and I pride myself on my ability to be flexible to your needs.
Whether you are looking for help to get by for a GCSE or trying to ace a UKMT Maths Challenge, my goal in each session is to engage and connect you to the content. I have helped students from ages and I am confident through those ages and into first or second year uni maths. I would also welcome adult learners.
As I mentioned, I feel it is important my lessons are flexible but I would always want a focus to be on working through examples together and encouraging questions and comments throughout the process. I also believe is it important to watch a student work through problems under their own steam, but I am aware that many people find this daunting and I work very hard to create an environment where mistakes are accepted as a part of the learning process. Furthermore, I like to write bespoke problems for a student to complete between sessions where this is possible, though I truly do understand that school workloads can really mount up for many young people.
I strive to work hard for every student, and while I see my goal as helping them towards and deep understand (and hopefully enjoyment) of the subject, my excellent record on achieving target grades is a matter of pride also.
