I like to figure out how you want to learn and to tailor my lessons to that inclination. An example of this would be if you like to learn through physical mediums then I would design experiments to bring to our sessions to help you learn.

As I am tutoring in person my starting sessions will not be heavily multimedia based, I would likely be working from a set of papers I had printed out or a textbook. If you prefer a powerpoint/multimedia approach then I can adjust and provide presentations that I can give to you following a lesson for review.
I am happy to act as either a reactive tutor; helping you with whatever you are struggling with at the time, or as a proactive tutor; where you give me a goal and we will work together to achieve it. I'm a firm believer that everyone can achieve their goals in education, it is just a matter of finding the correct approach for each person.
With regards to my experience, I have a degree in physics from Imperial College London as well as a PGCE in secondary education from Durham University. I have held a role as science teacher at a secondary school.
In my spare time I like to play board games and read sci-fi novels. I also like to bake, my favorite recipe right now are Portuguese custard tarts, or pastel de natas.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and together we can achieve great things!
