Having lived abroad in Greece for 30 years, I had a great opportunity to develop my cultural awareness and meet some amazing people on my journey. I initially worked as a language teacher in two different schools before opening my own private language Institute in 2008. I taught many different nationalities and prepared students for a range of different exams, be it professional qualifications, foreign language certification or accredited TEFL course. In 2019, I returned to Northern Ireland and switched to online classes given the situation at that time.
When it comes to teaching, I put an emphasis on quality learning, whereby priority is given to selecting, adapting and using an appropriate range of materials and resources designed to meet learners needs.
Each student is an individual and hence, I tailor the course accordingly. Communication and linguistic competence as well as the development of receptive and productive skills feature as my main objective.
I have extensive knowledge of exams and relevant certification in compliance with the European framework, including IELTS, Pearson, Cambridge and TOEIC as well as TOEFL. My experience of working with foreign students all over the world has been both enriching and rewarding, and I look forward to meeting new students and assisting them on their journey.
