I have a 5 years teaching experience as a mathematics and applied maths tutor of high in my country Nigeria..I'm also an Engineering student of Sheffield Hallam University currently studying MSc. Construction Project Management, which make me vast in Arithmetic skills. I studied Civil and Environmental Engineering as my First degree in University of Lagos, Nigeria. I have the flair and passion to be a tutor because it gives me joy to impact knowledge most especially in Mathematics and applied maths. *The format I use in teaching/tutor is giving room for questions as much as possible because I know students are of different abilities and comprehending process differs. Should there be anything giving my students issue as regards mathematics, I advise them to take a break for an hour or more then come back refresh to the task while to trying to explain in a different way this time with the aim to achieve same result. I had previously used this method while teaching mathematics and it works so well.. * I also use real life examples while teaching instance, Dave gave Graham 24 bananas ,30 apples and 15 pears . How many fruits does Dave gave Graham..Using this gives the students a clear and real life picture of arithmetic before proceeding to use only numbers.. Sometimes, I produce a reality drawing sketch to solve word problems.. It's quite interesting learning this way and there is always price for doing well in mathematics which encourages the students to put more effort and develop likeness for arithmetic.
