I have an MA in Arabic Linguistics specialising in the etymology of words as used in the Qur'an. I have been teaching in person and online for the past 25 years and have developed my own course in Qur'anic Arabic which I deliver on Zoom, through the use of pre-prepared slides that I work through, along with sending the student the handouts beforehand to make it easier for them to take notes. The vocabulary of the course has been uploaded and audio-recorded on the Memrise website, and homework is set every lesson.

My method is very geared towards the English speaking audience and takes into account their learning styles and mindset, and as such it has proven to be a very effective method to understand Arabic and Qur'anic Arabic in particular.

Having said this, I have also taught Modern Standard Arabic and can adapt quite easily as per the student's requirements.
