I have a friendly, proactive, and interactive approach to teaching. I make sure I fully understand students' strengths and weaknesses before jumping straight into content, with the aim of consolidating and building upon their abilities. I like to make sure all students are engaged and involved with the lesson, even if they are not as confident as others/other topics, by always reminding them it is beneficial to make mistakes when tackling harder topics as we learn from those mistakes as they have tried all possible ways until getting to the right solution, with topics being seen as mini-challenges where the student overcomes and excels over those obstacles, allowing them to clearly see their achievements. I also advocate for teaching to be interactive by encouraging students to always ask questions, even questions on the seemingly smallest topics, as no question is too far out to be asked.
Overall, my lessons are engaging, but not distracting, I applaud students who are proactive, engaged and ask for help whenever, but I am not hesitant in asking whether less confident students are okay with the content and always readjust my pace to benefit their learning style.
