My Accounting lessons are designed to provide comprehensive and valuable knowledge to students. I incorporate my 12 years of banking industry experience and Masters degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Coventry University into the lessons to ensure maximum benefit for students.
The format of my Accounting lessons involves practical problem-solving activities combined with theoretical knowledge. I place a strong emphasis on understanding the fundamental concepts of Accounting rather than dictating a rote learning style. I provide students with real-life examples in order to further their understanding of Accounting.
I believe that Accounting requires a strong way of thinking and analytical skills, so my lessons focus on developing these qualities. I assign tasks that are challenging but achievable in order to improve the students’ problem-solving ability. Furthermore, I encourage active participation in class discussions and I use a pedagogical style of teaching to ensure that all students are engaged and encouraged.
The content of my Accounting lessons revolves around core topics such as double-entry bookkeeping and financial statements. I use examples to explain the concepts and I delve further into related topics such as costing and budgeting. I believe in creating an interactive experience where students can engage with Accounting in a hands-on fashion.
To summarise, my Accounting lessons provide comprehensive and valuable knowledge to students. I use the skills and knowledge acquired from my professional experience and degree in Accounting and Financial Management and a pedagogical approach to teaching to ensure maximum benefit for students.
