I hope to interact with the students with their case work. I would work though the literature they have to read and learn, discussing such relevant points as plot lines, characters, etc. I would expect the student to read the entire work, rather than just the passages on which they will be marked.

Regarding language teaching, it depends on what they are expected to know/learn. I come from a fairly formal background so I would teach a formal type of grammar, assuming some knowledge has been previously gained.
I also think conversation is key, particularly if the student wants to be more conversant and fluent in the language and this aspect can be fun. I would like to set homework but that would depend on what the student is prepared to do.
I live in London which is the cultural capital of the world with a lot to see and do and I am happy to share some of this with students, particularly if the student is in or has been in London.
