I want to know
- what you’d most like to get out of lessons
- how you learn best
- how you are most likely to use your French
I will use this information to help me tailor our lessons to best suit you!
I am interested in using more or less traditional teaching tools, in order to allow you to learn in the most enjoyable and rewarding environment possible.

I am interested in using more or less traditional teaching tools, in order to allow you to learn in the most enjoyable and rewarding environment possible.
Please note that I am neurodivergent myself so am very happy to accommodate neurodivergent learners.
I view learning as best done when led by the student so that they remain an active participant in the process — we will set out aims and goals together, agreeing to a study plan and checking in regularly to see whether it needs to evolve alongside you.
I’m interested in positive reinforcement and want you to succeed at your own pace.
Activities will depend on ability level and age range. These might vary from conversational practice and prompts to visual cues and videos.
I lived in France in Évian-les-Bains for 7 years over the course of my childhood and adolescence, where I sat the French equivalent of GCSEs, the Brevét, and began studying for the Baccalauréat Scientifique.
I have informal experience both tutoring and childminding and am calm and good with children.
I achieved 43 points out of a possible 45 in the International Baccalaureate. I have a First Class Honours degree from the University of Birmingham in Liberal Arts and will be starting a Masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September in Creative Writing.
Please feel free to reach out if you think that I’d be a good fit for you or your child; I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
