I acquired a BSC Pharmaceutical Sciences (First Class) in 2017and currently I am studying for an MSc in Biomedical Science.
I have informal tutoring experience from tutoring younger relatives throughout the years. It is important to me to put my student's comfortability first and to build a good rapport with the student in order for us to build good chemistry and understand each other better. I am patient and prefer to let the pupil use their own thought process to grasp an idea i am teaching rather than dictate to them, so that they are involved and engaged in their own learning.
I enjoy using fun analogues to help in learning. I am also aware that there are different forms of learning, visual, auditory etc. So i am aware i have to teach in a way that the pupil prefers to learn. As a visual learner myself I am prone to using imagery and diagrams in my teaching but I am able to adapt to the pupil's preferred method of absorbing information.
I also have a young child due to start primary school and i am very hands on with her learning and development (as i should lol). I find it very rewarding to see someone grow in confidence as they continue to build their knowledge knowing I had a hand in helping them along the way.
I decided to sign up to be a private tutor as a way to help others improve while expanding professionally, academically as well.
