I currently tutor GCSE students at my school. We go through each topic and perfect it and move on to exam questions- where all the marks lie. A lesson typically consists of me going through how to answer questions of a certain topic- then I work collaboratively with the student making sure they fully grasp and understand the concept they are applying. I then give 5 questions for independent revision and following lesson we mark these in a quick 5 minute recap period before starting the next topic. I have got students from 6s-8s at GCSE in the span of 2 months and do weekly “booster” sessions at local primary school to increase the chances of top marks. I tailor my lessons to suit each of my students.
