I am a Ph.D. at the University of Birmingham, completing a comprehensive full-time program in Byzantine Archaeology. My doctoral research focuses on the built environment and physical aspect of Naples, Italy and thus I examine Italian and Latin literary sources and deal with a significant number of Italian publications.
I have lived in Rome, Italy many years and achieved my BA degree at La Sapienza University of Rome in Classic Archaeology. Prior to that, I graduated from the Italian college, Pietro Della Valle, where I studied Art and History subjects.
I have worked as a teaching associate at the University of Birmingham, where I conducted modules on Greek and Roman History for undergraduate students for a semester in 2022. Furthermore, I have worked as an Italian translator and interpreter in Rome and Birmingham respectively.
All in all, I help students improve their Italian level and reach their preferable goals. In my lessons I teach not only the Italian language but the history and food culture of people in Italy. The students will learn the Italian society and get to learn the language in a very fun and innovative way.
In terms of materials, I use Espresso publication to teach Italian at any level. Alongside, I refer to various history publications to improve the vocabulary level of students in history and Geography. Additionally, for advanced levels, Italian Netflix Tv shows are part of my lessons and homework of the students to put their listening skills in test in the most effective and fun way.
