Classes are tailored to a student's needs and interest. Tutoring will take place wherever/however you feel most comfortable i.e in person, online or at your place of residence. The first session is a basic presentation on the course, course modules, the examination process and the grading criteria of the board- for either GCSE or A-level. But, it will also be a conversation where you express your fields of interests and intentions and any work you feel proud of to build a student profile. The following sessions are structured around specific tasks that make up Component 1 and 2 ( also Component 3 and 4 for A-Level Students) so as to keep up with the time constrains of the course. For students starting before January we will look intensively into what makes a good Personal Portfolio which is component 1 of the course which will be good preparation for component 2 which is the externally set assignment that gets released in January. Additionally, there will be potentially minimum two sessions in which artists that are relevant to your investigations your work will be invited to our session for a discussion and a presentation of your work. Tutoring schedule is up to you but I recommend at least once a week (ideally twice) for as many hours as you prefer. This basically because I understand that sometimes performance will not be consistently up to par (I get you! You are under a lot of pressure) and we do not want to fall behind.
Feel free to contact me for more insights on the tutoring process.
