Lessons are interactive starting off with questions to get a get an understanding of where the student is and what we need to work on. I provide opportunities to practice new learning and apply this within the lesson. I ensure I tailor lessons to suit the student and incorporate real world scenarios that are relevant to the individual, making learning more interesting. I use engaging materials in online sessions, such as PowerPoints, videos, images etc. I also include continuous assessment to find out a students understanding and progress by using short quizzes, short exercises and discussions. I also have an adaptable approach to teaching lessons making sure all learning styles are incorporated such as kinaesthetic, visual or auditory learning styles. I have taught in schools for over 10 years so have vast experience teaching the primary years and preparing children for SATS and the phonic screen check as well as helping them in areas they find more challenging. I will work with the student, familiarise myself with their learning ability and set specific learning goals at the beginning and word towards reaching them.
