Hello future student! I'm a CELTA-qualified teacher with 22 years of experience. In that time, I've taught literally hundreds of adults and young learners, giving classes in General English, Business English, IELTS and Functional Skills. I've taught in Indonesia, Japan, Chile, Bolivia, Russia, Oman, Cambodia, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Myanmar. In the last three years, I've mainly been working online. In your first lesson with me, we'll discuss your reasons for wanting to learn or improve your English, and then together we'll create a plan that will help you to achieve your objectives in the most efficient, fun and interesting way. All subsequent lessons will be designed to suit your needs. So, for example, if you want to practise speaking, we will discuss issues that are of interest to you, and if you want to improve you writing, we will look at examples of your work and see how we can improve it. For many students, gaining a better understanding of grammar and being able to use it accurately is the top priority. If this applies to you, I will very quickly be able to identify the areas you need to work on, and we will look at those particular grammar points in a context which is relevant to your situation.
