I started my teaching career with 2.5 years teaching GCSE and Cambridge A Level Chemistry. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience but wanting to go deeper into the field of Chemistry I returned ro University to undertake doctoral studies in Synthetic Organic Chemistry. Getting my PhD allowed me to then be a Chemistry Lecturer at my local University for almost ten years. A decade I thoroughly enjoyed! Now I'm back teaching GCSE and A Level Chemistry full time and again the experience is so fulfilling. My classes are on zoom, with 5-7 pupils in each lesson. I share my screen with my PowerPoint slides and other web-based animations. Pupils are encouraged to participate using the chat and their microphone. Each lesson last 60 minutes and pupils are assigned really useful homework to help them develop and practice their new skills and knowledge at in-between lessons. I also have a Google classroom for each lesson so pupils can communicate with me, post HW, receive extra material and communicate with class-mates. No matter what exam specification your exam is aligned with, all relevant content for your course will be explored. Having worked as an Examiner, I will also guide you in crafting the most effective answers to ensure your knowledge is showcased to the best degree.
