My goal as a tutor is to give students a full view into what is required of a professional sports broadcaster and writer. From interviewing subjects to reporting live on television, to hosting a podcast to writing game recaps or feature stories, there is so much to learn about the industry and what it entails. Not only will these sessions open the eyes of those who want to work in professional sports, it will also help them learn the skills they need to make the most of the chances for experience that they get and create. These sessions will start with the basics of writing and asking questions then level up to interview cadence, guidelines for broadcasting, how to build a rapport, how to transcribe and ultimately how to take all of that information gathered and synthesize it into scripts for on-air reporting or material to use for feature stories, game recaps, and other functions. If you have a passion for sports, broadcasting and writing, I'm the tutor for you! As someone who has worked for professional sports teams since 2008, I understand that in order to get your foot in the door in this business, candidates must be primed with experience and knowledge of how to operate on day one. These lessons will help you be a worthy candidate and someone who can hit the ground running upon your arrival in a professional sports setting. Lessons will be remote, over Zoom, during day time hours in the United States.
