I prefer a more personal style of tutoring - I like to ask questions to gauge where you are with your learning, what specifically you are struggling with in your studies and also your strengths alongside weaknesses. I like to form both a professional and semi-personal relationship with my students - it is just as important to me that you are comfortable with me, not just that you achieve the best grades possible. I would like you to initially guide the lessons in a style you are comfortable with, and using this information I can form presentations and provide you with exam questions that will further enhance your learning. It is important to learn in bitesized chunks so I highlight the importance of tackling topics in small, understandable sections which I am always open to revisit if you struggle to understand the concepts behind them. Considering the way Psychology as a subject is structured, I will visit both all Assessment Objectives and cater more questions of a specific AO to you if I find that you are particularly struggling with that. The premise of my lessons are that I would like you to establish what exactly you need help with, and the style you like to learn in, and then I can cater my lessons to you in a personal manner. If you need help with revision techniques or simply finding your preferred learning style, please feel free to ask me as I have a plethora of methods that helped me when I was in your position lesson than a year ago!
