I have sixteen years of teaching and tutoring. Specialising in Maths and Psychology. Working in both State and Private education, tutoring both UK and International students.

My strength is in tailoring tutoring to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, which leads to all students thriving. My first steps are identifying learning gaps and by employing creative strategies tailored to the individual needs, I address these gaps to produce quick growth and advancement.

As a tutor and teacher I combine support with encouragement, this builds confidence in the student and inspires them to aim high. I ensure that a student is comfortable and feels in control during the tutoring sessions to make sure that they are in a position to learn and enjoy developing their skills and knowledge.

My Psychology tutoring supports A Level students, mainly AQA board, working on current learning and / or supporting revision for internal and public exams. By building key terms into structured exam answers, and developing student’s understanding of evaluation points, so that these can be put together to answer any exam question.

I have built a reputation for my GCSE Maths tutoring (Foundation and Higher levels, all boards). Over the years, my students have achieved an average of 2 grades higher in their GCSE compared to their Mock exams, with some individual successes of 4 grades higher.

However, I also tutor younger students, building their skills and understanding of mathematical concepts, including supporting students sitting Common Entrance exams and SATs.

I have tutored at many different levels and for many reasons; supporting learning during the years leading up to exams, exam revision, homework assistance, reteaching and building on learning in school, sessions to build confidence. These have ranged in time from just a few terms to a few years.
