I like to discuss with my students what learning style they find works best for them and spend time getting to know my student to be able to formulate lessons that will be the most effective, engaging and enjoyable for them. I am very friendly and laid back and do not mind some casual conversation and jokes, I always want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable; building a rapport with each student is very important to me. I believe that if a student is bored and uninterested during a lesson there isn’t going to be very effective learning taking place, therefore I try to make my lessons as exciting and engaging as possible so that my students look forward to our time together and have fun! Having fun makes the learning much more concrete. Lastly, any of my students can come to me about anything and everything, anytime. Education is something I feel very passionate about, I love learning! I love it so much that I want to spread this love for it, and to do that I need to support my students in their education of course, but also in their social or emotional needs. I have plenty of experience working with students who need mental health support. I also have lots of experience with EAL and SEN students and love working with them!
