I am a recent First Class Honours BA English graduate, who didn't always find the subject easy. During my GCSEs and A-Levels (especially with COVID-19) I found it very hard to sit down, revise and properly process content. I had tried nearly every way possible to find learning techniques that suited me. It was a relief when in the first year of my degree, I was diagnosed with ADHD.

I am one of five and have a younger brother who, next year, will be taking his GCSEs. He also has ADHD, so I have had to tailor lessons to his own needs and abilities to make sure that he understands the content and can achieve the grades I know that he can. This is why I place a huge emphasis on working around the individual. There is no 'one size fits all approach'.
Reading is one of my favourite pastimes, and so I am determined to pass this on to those around me, and to enjoy the subject of English! Besides reading, I am enjoying learning the Irish language (Gaeilge) and walking my dog, Finn.
I am undertaking an MSc in Psychology (Conversion) at the University of Bristol. I further spend my time volunteering with the Samaritans, something that has allowed me to develop greatly as a person.
