Niamh Duffy

I have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacology, whereby I studied a whole range of diseases and the effects of those diseases on the biology of various organs. I also then examined drugs to treat those diseases; their mechanism of action, adverse effects etc. I have a PhD in regenerative medicine, which is a discipline of biology that studies the therapeutic benefits of stem cells to treat various diseases. For this, I have extensively studied cell biology as well as in depth studies of the disease processes involved with osteoarthritis, a disorder of the musculoskeletal system.

Throughout my studies, I tutored multiple students, helping them to perform various laboratory techniques and assist in their understanding of the research topic. I like to ensure my students have an adequate understanding of the basics before moving on to the complex parts, and I like to ensure my students are not afraid to ask if they do not understand something. I want my students to be comfortable at all times and to always ask questions, regardless of whether they think it may be stupid or not. I am available to provide one-on-one online tutoring.
