I am a highly experienced tutor with two years experience tutoring English, Maths, Biology, and Chemistry to the equivalent of A Levels and GSCEs respectively. Rather than dictate how lessons go, I prefer to work collaboratively with the student to decide each lesson plan and only cover what you want to cover every week. My lessons are conducted online. My philosophy to tutoring is that I like to help students find the reasons and underlying logic behind everything they are learning rather than just rote-learning dry facts as I believe that this approach is generally more effective for understanding concepts in the long term.
In terms of my own education, I am a Master's student in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology at the University of Kent and I currently hold a first class honours Applied Psychology degree from University College Cork. I did all Higher Level subjects (equivalent to A Levels) in the Leaving Certificate and achieved a total of 578 points out of a maximum of 625.
I am available most evenings and on the weekends to tutor English (any level), Biology (up to A Level), Chemistry (to GSCE level) and Maths (also to GCSE level). As you can see from my reviews, I am a competent, helpful, and patient tutor who is able to distill difficult concepts down to to their underlying essentials and can help you to not only learn more about your given subject but, more importantly, to also understand more about how certain biological or chemical processes work or how to most optimally structure an English answer.
