I hold a bachelor’s degree in art, specializing in photography and painting, with over two years of experience teaching traditional Chinese painting, watercolor, and gouache to both adults and children. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s in Illustration and Sequential Design at the University of Brighton, where I also illustrate children’s books and other publications.
In my teaching, I aim to be both approachable and effective. I believe that learning is best when it’s comfortable, and I enjoy building friendly relationships with my students. While I’m serious about teaching, I’m also someone students can connect with, making the learning process enjoyable. I strive to create a space where students feel at ease to express themselves, ask questions, and engage deeply with the material.
When it comes to teaching Chinese, my lessons are filled with humor and creativity, helping students overcome the typical fears or pressures that come with learning a new language. For those interested in art, I can combine language learning with drawing, making the process dynamic and far from boring. Through interactive projects and creative exercises, I make sure every lesson is both fun and educational.
