Neil Todd

Hi - my name's Neil and I'm a physics teacher with nearly 30 years of experience in a range of UK schools. I tutor physics at GCSE and A-level, but can also cover any topics in Key Stage 3 Science.

My tutor sessions generally last for 1 hour, and are specifically tailored to your individual needs - I won't waste your time and money on generic activities which don't address your particular requirements. In our first session, we'll establish which general concepts you'd like to improve your understanding of, and then work through some initial activities to identify specific areas which we can work on together.

I hope you'll find that my sessions are creative and fun! I have a wide range of resources, from worksheets (yeah - a bit boring I know!), to PowerPoint presentations, simulations and video clips. I'll select the most appropriate ones for you, and will be happy to send you copies and links to websites etc.

Ultimately we'll build up to some typical past paper questions - as they really are the best way of demonstrating your understanding - but we'll also refer to them in earlier stages so that we can see exactly how what we're learning is assessed in your exams.

There's no substitute for hard work, and I will set you homework, but we'll work together to make sure that this doesn't get in the way of what your other teachers have asked you to do.
