Given a topic or curriculum, I will aim to take a different viewpoint than a school’s method of teaching.
This will focus more on encouraging the student in a way that makes them really think “why does this work?”. My goal is to push the student into coming up with the answer themself, even if they know zero content. This is the best way for them to learn, and it teaches amazing learning habits.
I like to structure my lessons on problems and also on topics. I will choose to focus on problems that are challenging or to look holistically at a topic, and clear up the issues.
My lessons are very much going to be very discussion based. I encourage questions, and during my lessons I will ask a few of my own. The goal is to increase your confidence and understanding in a way that you could present this information to someone else and they would learn from it!
